PGS is looking for a Senior Archaeologist to work with the Site Director in managing our ongoing large-scale mitigation project in Eastern Mpumalanga on the border with Mozambique. This is an incredible opportunity to gain experience in Early Farmer archaeological excavations and research.
Qualification
Minimum a Masters Degree in Archaeology
Experience in managing excavation teams
Strong organisational skills
Work conditions
Accommodation and subsistence is provided
Monthly return trips to Pretoria are provided
Woking condition is extreme and challenging, with temperatures in the high 30C and very humid
Closing date: 10 January 2024
Contract position: 6 months starting 1 February 2024
