The Tamil Nadu Institute of Archaeology and Museology invites applications for its Two Years Full-Time Post-Graduate Diploma courses for the academic year 2024-2026.
If you’re interested in pursuing a career in archaeology and related fields, consider the following programs:
Post-Graduate Diploma in Archaeology
Number of Students: 20
Educational Qualification: A Post-Graduate Degree in Tamil/Indian History, History, Ancient History and Archaeology, or any related field.
Post-Graduate Diploma in Heritage Management and Museology
Number of Students: 10
Educational Qualification: B.E. Civil Engineering or any Post-Graduate Degree in Humanities/Social/Chemical/Physical/Biological/Geo.
Post-Graduate Diploma in Epigraphy
Number of Students: 10
Educational Qualification: A Post-Graduate Degree in Tamil/Indian History, History, Ancient History and Archaeology, or any related field.
Medium of Teaching
Courses will be taught in both Tamil and English.
Stipend
Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 6,000/-.
Selection Process
Screening Test: 100 Multiple Choice Questions covering subjects such as Tamil Literature, History, Archaeology, Recent Archaeological Excavations (Tamil Nadu and India), Epigraphy, Architecture, Iconography, Numismatics, Museology, and Conservation and Preservation of Historical Monuments.
