The ASI seeks persons below the age of 35 years, to undertake checking/correction/proof reading of manuscripts/excavation reports/exploration reports/ guide books/archaeological Journals like Ancient India & Indian Archaeology A Review etc. and prepare the same for publication. For the work, aptly qualified, motivated and highly dedicated individuals are required, who can work with Archaeological data pertaining to excavation, exploration, epigraphy, numismatics, survey, documentation, post-excavation analysis and research, archaeological photography, archaeological drawings etc. This assignment requires candidates to demonstrate proven academic credentials in the field of archaeology, a good command over the languages English and Hindi, knowledge of computer and research tools.
Eligibility:
Qualifications: Essential: Master's Degree in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology or Archaeology or History.
Experience: Minimum of one year of work experience relevant to the job description.
Age limit: not above the age of 35 years as on the last date for submission of form.
Remuneration: A consolidated amount of Rs. 35000 per month, inclusive of Transport Allowance + Local HRA {Approximately Rs. 44,450/-}. There shall be an annual increment of 5% subject to satisfactory performance.
Selection procedure: The selection shall be made by the Expert Committee, duly formed by the DG ASI. The candidates shall be interviewed by the Expert Committee.
