*Curriculum:*
Day 1: Introductory and interactive session
Understanding the perceptions/notions of the participants regarding Śaktism and its aspects. An introduction to Śaktism and its antiquity with historical approaches.
Day 2: Looking into Śākta texts and iconography
A thorough introduction to the Śākta text Devī Māhātmya and its legacy with anthropological and ethnographical approaches. Seeking Śākta ethos from Devī-Māhātmya reflected in iconography.
Day 3: Other spheres of the Śaktism
An introduction to Yoginī cult and Mahāvidyā cult with the cultic assimilation and appropriation approaches. All the sessions will be conducted with presentations. PDF files of handouts, per session will be provided along with suggested readings.
