Since 2022, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) has played a significant role in the admissions procedure for institutions throughout India. Conducted by the Ministry of Education, the CUET serves as a single window for students from all over the country to apply for admission to affiliated universities. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the exam and maintaining its integrity.
Now that CUET 2023 registrations are likely to begin in a couple of days let's briefly go over the application process. This article will provide a brief overview of the steps involved in applying for CUET 2023.
The entrance exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and consist of objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Candidates must register on the official website, https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ (for undergraduate studies) and https://cuet.nta.nic.in/ (for postgraduate studies), to apply for CUET. Before registering, it is advisable to go through the information bulletin available on the website, which includes a list of participating universities, their topic areas, paper codes for each subject, and the syllabus and eligibility criteria.
Once the registration process is complete, candidates must fill in all the required information, including the paper code for the subject they wish to take the examination. After this step, candidates can apply to all the universities offering their desired courses by uploading all necessary paperwork.
After the CUET exam results are declared, the next step is to apply for admission to the universities of their choice. Candidates must fill out the admission forms on each university's website, provide their CUET Application Number, and upload the necessary supporting documents, including the CUET scorecard.
Finally, candidates must wait for each university to release its provisional admission list and submit the admission request accordingly.
The CUET 2023 application process is straightforward, but it is advisable to follow each step carefully to avoid confusion or errors. Good luck to all the aspiring students who will be appearing for CUET 2023!
