The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) commenced the excavation at Rakhigarhi, a pivotal site of the Indus Valley Civilization, under the directorship of Dr. Sanjay Kumar Manjul, Additional Director General (ADG). This season, in collaboration with the Chandigarh Circle, focuses on Mound Number 3, where Dr. Manjul previously uncovered the remains of what is believed to be the oldest known stadium.
In a unique opportunity, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Manjul invites students to participate in the Rakhigarhi excavation, offering hands-on experience in the field. Interested candidates can submit their CV s via email to skandmanjul@gmail.com for consideration.
Rakhigarhi, located in Haryana, is one of the largest Harappan sites in India. ASI's continued efforts at this site have led to numerous significant discoveries, cementing its importance in the archaeological community.
