The Film Heritage Foundation (FHF), a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving India's cinematic heritage, is seeking passionate individuals to join its team. Two exciting opportunities are currently available:
1. Conservator
The FHF seeks a qualified Conservator to ensure the proper conservation and preservation of its extensive archive of film-related materials. Responsibilities will include:
Implementing sustainable storage and housing practices for film materials.
Assessing the condition of the collection.
Regulating the handling and use of archival materials.
Participating in documentation and research efforts.
Qualifications:
A recognized degree or diploma in museology and conservation.
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in the field of conservation of archival material.
2. Junior Archivist
The FHF seeks a motivated Junior Archivist to join its acquisition team. This individual will assist with the identification, classification, documentation, accessioning, and packaging of new and existing film-related acquisitions.
Qualifications:
A graduate degree from any specialization, preferably in a related field (e.g., history, film studies).
Minimum of one year's experience working in archives, museums, or libraries.
