Underwater Archaeology Wing Announces Training Program for Archaeologists (ASI, 2025)

The Underwater Archaeology Wing of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is organizing a Training Program in Underwater Archaeology. This program will take place from 17th to 29th March 2025, with theoretical classes held at Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Institute of Archaeology, Greater Noida, and practical fieldwork at Dwarka and Bet Dwarka, Gujarat.

In 2007, the Underwater Archaeology Wing of the ASI started a detailed excavation off the coast of Gujarat in search of the sunken city of Dwarka. (ASI)
Interested archaeologists are invited to apply for this enriching program. Please submit your application before 7th March 2025 through the proper channel. For more details, Kindly refer to the official notification attached below.

To send your application for the Underwater Archaeology Training Program, you will need to follow these steps:


  1. Prepare Your Application: Fill out the application form (Attached Below) provided by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The form includes details such as:

    • Your name, designation, and institution.

    • Date of birth, educational qualifications, and work experience (if any).

    • Publications (if any), contact details, and swimming/diving experience.


  2. Include Supporting Documents: Attach a brief curriculum vitae (CV) of 1-2 pages as required by the application guidelines.


  3. Submit Before Deadline: Ensure you complete and submit the application form before March 7, 2025. The application must be submitted through the proper channel (Click here to know more), as specified by ASI.


  4. Undertaking: You have to sign an undertaking (click here to know more)
